How do you remove rust stains from a terrazzo floor?

Removal of rust on terrazzo will typically require both a powder poultice and a commercially available rust remover. Iron-Out mixed with a plain poultice powder works well. You may also want to try using the Iron-Out alone, mixing it into a paste and allowing it to sit for several hours. Do not allow it to dry, add more water if it dries. Be sure to clean and rinse the area throughly.

TIP It may be helpful to hone the rusted area with a 120 grit diamond.This will open the terrazzo up allowing for the Iron-Out to penetrate. If the rust is on the surface, honing alone may remove it.
