Is a 300 rpm machine faster or better than a 175 rpm machine for honing and polishing marble?

Both the 175 and 300 rpm machine will get the job done, however it is being discovered that the faster speeds perform faster and do provide a better finish. Stay tuned, you may also start seeing machines faster than 300 being used for marble honing and polishing

CAUTION Do not use a burnisher to hone or polish marble and stone. Burnishers have speeds exceeding 1500 rpm and are not designed for this type of work.
