We have a marble bathroom floor and keep getting spots around the toilet. Is there any sealer we can place on the marble to prevent this spotting?

The spotting can be caused by dripping toilet bowl cleaners, which can etch the marble surface. As of this writing there are no sealers that will prevent acid etching. I would suggest purchasing a non-acidic bathroom bowl cleaner, available at most janitorial supply stores.

Research is currently being conducted in the hope to find a sealer that will prevent acid etching of marble surfaces. Keep a close eye in the trade journals for these products.
