Will onyx polish like marble or do I need to use a different procedure?

Onyx is very similar to marble and will react similarly. It can be honed and polished just like marble.

FYI Onyx can be identified by its translucent appearance with its veins running in a parallel pattern. Onyx is found mostly on countertops and in small statuary.
