How do I get that honed, old look on polished marble?

Q. I recently (last week) had white calacata gold marble installed in my house (2nd home). The marble was SUPPOSED to be honed before they installed it. I am sick...it is very shiny...and I want the dull, old look. Is there any way to achieve this look now?

A. Yes. The marble can be honed in place. However this is not a Do It Yourself Project. You will need to hire a restoration contractor who will use diamond abrasives to hone the surface. For assistance contact us.
