I am having trouble polishing an unfilled travertine wall. I am using polishing powder and it is accumulating in the pores of the travertine. Is there a better way?

Yes there is. You can polish a travertine wall with a solution of “charged water.” Charged water is a mixture of oxalic acid and water. Mix approximately one pound of oxalic acid to one gallon of water. Take this mixture and transfer it to a spray bottle. Spray a small solution on the wall and work in with a white or buff pad and bingo! you are polishing with no powder residue.

TIP When polishing a wall always start from the bottom and work your way up the wall Make sure to rinse the wall throughly as you polish. If you do not do this streaking may be a problem.
