We live in a very sandy area, and the sand is severely scratching our marble floor. How can we keep the sand from getting on the floor?

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can put on the floor that will prevent it from scratching. You may find it useful to place several walk-off mats, both inside and outside the entrances, to help trap most of the sand. Dust-mopping the floor as often as possible should also help.

CAUTION For the professional- If sand is a problem for the customer it will also present a problem for you when you hone the floor. To eliminate the sand vacuum the floor several times and avoid going outside or opening any doors.
