How to remove stain on bathroom stone tiles

Q. I hired a cleaner and she used limeaway with mold control from Clorox. And it appeared to have left white stains in my bathroom stone tiles. These don‘t wash away with water. What should I do?

A. Unfortunately, this is not a stain that you are referring to, it‘s an etch caused by the acidic nature of the cleaners.  If the damaged area is small and it‘s not so rough you can feel it with your fingertips, use a marble polishing compound to polish out the etching. If the damage is more severe, you will have to have a restoration contractor mechanically re-hone and polish the area.
